Sacred Geometry is an exploration into existence as expressed through geometric shapes. A visual representation of the origins of life, the universe and our world. It all starts with a circle, the most perfect shape known to mankind: from it, life emerges. The sun, the moon, planets, circles are everywhere in the natural world, same for Serato, DJ's, the vinyl, a simple circle has become a fundamental tool in the control, creation and expression of our art.

At the beginning of lockdown the DJ and producer community was put into an incredibly difficult position. Barred from earning a living and performing to crowds in clubs, there was an understandable level of fear and anxiety towards any future prospects. However, as time went on, something incredible began to happen. These performers began to adapt and re-emerged en mass on living streaming platforms like Twitch. Their setups were rudimentary at first, but quickly the community began to reshape and develop a technical acumen for using broadcasting software like OBS.
To celebrate and support these performers during a very difficult time, Serato began an initiative to provide high quality royalty-free assets designed for live-streaming, free of charge. This meant we quickly had to become experts in the live-stream field, tailoring specially built layered scenes and animated assets that performers could use modularly, with tutorials demonstrating how to construct and animate within softwares like OBS.
Another COVID initiative, ‘unscripted’ was a live-streamed podcast hosted by Matt Perry featuring iconic DJs and producers as guests each week. I developed a small identity for unscripted based off of conference software UIs like Zoom, which we were all too familiar with at the time. The template for the live-stream and announcement socials were built to swap out backgrounds each week to keep content fresh and loose, with different scenes that could be changed live in OBS to present either the host, host + guest, host + guest & screenshare, as well as intro and outro scenes.
