Spark: 5G Street Museum
Spark is a New Zealand based telecommunications network interested in the role technology can play today in crafting a better tomorrow. With the arrival of the new 5G network in New Zealand (yes, New Zealand has 5G), Spark didn’t just want to tell the public how fast the network is; they wanted to show it. This led to the creation of the Spark 5G Street Museum, an augmented reality experience partnering with unique New Zealand artists exploring new forms of storytelling and self-expression through the power of 5G and AR.
I helped to create a series of OOH collateral building off each artist's exhibit after the initial success of the launch. Taking set pieces from within the AR experience, I was interested in creating a sense of depth and immersion, showing a portal from the world of the artist opening up into ours with a design language borrowed from museum and gallery exhibits.
